After an outstanding week in theaters, ‘Jawan’ has earned a net box office collection of Rs 328 crore in India and a total gross of over Rs 600 crore worldwide. This marks the highest-ever first-week total for a Hindi film in history.

On its seventh day of release, Wednesday, the film added Rs 23 crore in net earnings in India, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. As it concludes its extended first week of release, ‘Jawan’ is poised to surpass the Rs 700 crore gross milestone globally, according to Box Office Worldwide.

Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawan” directed by Atlee is doing exceptionally well at the box office in India and worldwide. After a remarkable week in theaters, it has earned Rs 328 crore in India and over Rs 600 crore globally. This makes it the highest-grossing Hindi film in the first week. On the seventh day of its release, it added Rs 23 crore in India. According to Box Office Worldwide, “Jawan” is expected to reach the Rs 700 crore global gross mark as it concludes its extended first week.

“Jawan” had a great debut, making Rs 75 crore in India on Janmashtami. It continued to perform well, reaching Rs 80 crore on the third day. Even during the week, it maintained good collections, making Rs 32 crore on Monday and Rs 26 crore on Tuesday. The film’s occupancy on Wednesday was 23%, with night shows being the most popular. Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, the film’s top-earning regions, had occupancies of 24% and 25%, respectively.

“Gadar 2,” despite its initial success with Rs 516 crore in box office earnings, seems to be slowing down. It’s still approximately Rs 27 crore away from surpassing “Pathaan” as the all-time highest-grossing Hindi-language film in India. However, the current trend suggests that “Jawan” might not only surpass “Gadar” in the next few days but also outdo “Pathaan.” “Pathaan” marked Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback after a five-year break following a series of underperforming movies.

Movies like “Pathaan,” “Gadar 2,” and “Jawan” have revitalized Bollywood, bringing it back to its pre-pandemic glory after a period of uncertainty. Other successful films like “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” “Dream Girl 2,” “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,” “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” “Satyaprem Ki Katha,” and “The Kerala Story” also contributed to this revival. Shah Rukh Khan is set to continue his success with Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki” later this year, aiming for a hat-trick of hits.
